Qualifications

• Promotion Qualifications: One year of experience as a Janitor, Housekeeper, Supervising Housekeeper, Supervising Building Services Aide or Building Services Assistant 2.
• Minimum Qualifications under NY HELPS Program: Two years of satisfactory full-time custodial care experience, with one year supervisory.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous hospital setting experience; strong intrapersonal and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and administers a program of systematic cleaning and care of assigned areas.
• Plans and schedules staff assignments and cleaning services.
• Manages custodial inventory, supplies, and equipment distribution.
• Oversees maintenance and repairs as needed and coordinates with skilled trades.
• Inspects facilities for cleaning quality and compliance.
• Assists in budgeting for custodial operations and staffing.
