Rhode Island Hospital is seeking a Environmental Services worker to perform cleaning tasks in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include buffing, stripping and refinishing floors, shampooing carpets, and general room and area sanitation in alignment with departmental procedures.

Role entails assembling supplies, returning unused items, preparing solutions, and maintaining clean, safe work areas. Shift is evenings (3:00pm–11:30pm) with alternating weekends and a focus on patient and campus

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Interpersonal communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Assembles materials and supplies, stocks carts, transports to area, and cleans per floor schedule.
• Returns unused supplies, cleans equipment, and stores it properly.
• Prepares cleaning solutions and dusts/windowsills, blinds, furniture.
• Empties wastebaskets, mops floors, and polishes fixtures in bathrooms, offices, and patient rooms.
• Cleans showers and toilets, dusts or vacuums chairs, makes beds with clean linens.
