Job summary

United Methodist Communities is seeking a Homemaker for Pitman Manor in downtown Pitman, NJ. This part-time role offers 4:00 pm–7:00 pm shifts with weekend/holiday rotation and an hourly pay range of $16.24–$17.55 based on experience.

Responsibilities include dining, housekeeping, and laundry duties, meal preparation and service, and assisting residents with meals while maintaining safety and cleanliness across living spaces. Benefits include comprehensive insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Willingness to complete ServSafe certification (provided by UMC).
• Willingness to complete Dining Assistant Training (provided by UMC).
• Must be at least 16 years old (NJ Employment Certificate if under 18).

Responsibilities

• Handle dining, housekeeping, and laundry duties for residents.
• Prepare and serve meals following approved menus and recipes, including special diets.
• Support residents during meals and respond to their needs.
• Clean bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen areas to keep spaces safe and welcoming.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Wash, dry, and fold laundry and handle linens properly.
• Keep resident rooms and common areas clean and well maintained.
