Quest Diagnostics is seeking an entry-level Grossing Technician I in Indianapolis, IN, Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM. Pay starts at $24.52+ per hour with potential shift differentials of 10% for some hours on second shift and 15% on some hours of third shift.

The role involves gross examinations of surgical specimens, labeling, and preparing tissues for processing, under supervision. Eligibility for annual performance bonus is possible.

Qualifications

• This is an entry-level grossing position requiring histology knowledge and basic grossing skills.
• 1 year of histology and/or grossing experience preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical specimens for histologic processing following policies.
• Label and accession specimens accurately and maintain specimen integrity.
• Describe gross features of routine specimens with attention to details.
• Dissect specimens and prepare tissues for processing under supervision.
• Record measurements, weights, and findings as applicable.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
