Job summary

Responsibilities include cleaning floors and surfaces, following infection control and safety guidelines, and assisting in laundry as needed. The role requires physical ability to lift 40-50 lbs and may involve evenings, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use a computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for patients/residents, visitors and staff by following infection control, safety and procedural guidelines.
• Clean patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors and other areas.
• Wear appropriate protective equipment and keep storage, equipment and carts clean and stocked.
• May assist in laundry areas and use technology applications as needed.
• Work hours may include overtime, nights, weekends and holidays.
