Job summary

Sanford Health in Clear Lake, SD is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for evening, part-time work. You will maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient areas by following infection control and cleaning protocols.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, disposing waste, maintaining supply carts, and using appropriate protective equipment. Prior housekeeping experience and strong customer service are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer is helpful.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Empty waste baskets, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors.
• Use brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Maintain clean and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and areas.
• Wear proper protective equipment following guidelines.
• May assist in laundry areas as appropriate.
