Job summary

Delaware North is seeking part-time Leadouts at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. The role involves handling greyhounds in the paddock and en route to the starting box, with duties including leading dogs to the starting box, weigh-ins, and ensuring safe outcomes for dogs on the track.

The position offers weekly pay and a benefits package, including insurance options and a flexible schedule. Shifts include evenings, holidays, and weekends, with a pay rate of $14.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Lift and transport greyhounds daily for up to 100 yards (>70 lbs).
• Able to run or jog up to 100 yards 7–10 times per night.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead dogs to the starting box.
• Put dogs in starting box.
• Safely remove any injured dog from the track or direct it appropriately.
• Perform weigh-ins.
• Lead dogs back to lockout kennel and into the correct crates.
