Job summary

Courtyard Newark Granville is seeking a Guest Service Agent to be the hotel ambassador during peak hours, greeting guests, checking in/out, and ensuring a memorable stay.

You will use basic reservations software, share local tips, resolve requests, and collaborate with the team to keep front desk operations smooth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication and guest-service orientation.
  • Ability to use basic office software and reservation systems.
  • Ability to stay calm and professional during peak times.

Job Title: Guest Service Agent
Reports To: Front Office Associate
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Location: Courtyard by Marriott – 84 Rooms – Minutes from the new Intel Site, Amazon, Facebook, and Google.

As the evening Front Desk Agent, you are a hotel ambassador and the face of the hotel during our busiest hours, providing outstanding service to guests, handling requests, and ensuring a memorable stay.

Responsibilities
  • Warm Welcomes: Greet guests with a smile, assist with check‑in/check‑out, and provide the information they need to enjoy their stay.
  • Problem Solver: Handle guest requests and resolve issues efficiently, keeping guests happy and comfortable.
  • Reservation Rockstar: Manage bookings, cancellations, and changes with ease while maximizing room occupancy.
  • Local Expert: Share local attractions, dining options, and special events, helping guests make the most of their stay.
  • Safety & Security: Ensure guest safety by following all hotel protocols, including maintaining confidentiality of personal information.
  • Behind the Scenes: Assist with daily reports, manage inventory, and keep common areas clean and welcoming.

Qualifications
