Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Forklift Operator for its Dayton, NJ distribution center. The role requires 1+ year forklift experience with Swing Reach, Reach Truck and Order Picker, on-site work, and strong English communication.

You will operate multiple power equipment, maintain inventory accuracy, and participate in safety and housekeeping tasks while supporting leadership and the hub’s daily picks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience operating Swing Reach, Reach Truck and Order Picker.
• This is an onsite and in office role.
• Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team – performing whatever duties are necessary.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to learn warehouse management system functions (PKMS).
• Ability to read and verify locations and SKU numbers.
• Willing to be cross trained and certified to operate WSI DDC equipment: Reach Tracker, Pacers, Swing Reach, Order Picker/TT, Motorized Pallet Jack.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, fast learner.
• Flexible to work overtime as required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Work with leadership to ensure completion of all tasks by end of day.
• Complete daily pick for the Hub using the inventory system.
• Use orders to determine item movement; may include power equipment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy via warehouse system.
• Complete staging/sweeping tasks using power equipment.
• Load, unload, stack, and stage products with various power equipment.
• Keep aisles and surroundings organized daily.
• Promote safety awareness and cultivate a safe work culture.
• Perform other duties as instructed.
