Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs in Minneapolis is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker to perform routine food preparation, dishwashing, and cleaning in the Veterans Home kitchen.

Evening shift 3:45pm-7:45pm, rotating days, with opportunities to gain skills in sanitation, basic cooking, and service; the role includes requirements for background checks and health screenings.

Formación

• Knowledge of foods, values, and safety standards.
• Ability to cook on a small to large scale and read diet cards.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: ServSafe certification and IDDSI knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare small quantities of food for special diets.
• Dish up food, move carts, and serve at cafeteria lines.
• Peel vegetables, toast, coffee, and perform simple cooking tasks.
• Serve portions, wait on tables, wash dishes and utensils.
• Sweep, mop, and clean food service areas.
• Observe sanitation and safety standards; other related duties.
