Job summary

Brooke Grove Retirement Village, part of Brooke Grove Foundation, is seeking a Floor Tech for part-time evening shifts (4pm–9pm) Fri/Sat/Sun. Pay ranges from $19.50 to $21.50 per hour based on experience, with competitive benefits and training opportunities.

Your role includes cleaning patient and resident areas, adhering to infection control, and supporting department initiatives to improve cleanliness and resident experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Health care support services and/or environmental Services, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Can demonstrate effective use of computers and/or mobile devices for daily job performance activities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily assigned area of duty, which may include cleaning of patient rooms or patient areas, cleaning and disinfection of resident homes, cleaning of medical equipment, support in laundry/linen services, and other common areas of assignment.
• Performs duties with knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfection principles, proper chemical use, equipment handling, and labor-saving products.
• Adheres to organization safety, risk management and infection control guidelines while promoting a culture of safety.
• Participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives including patient experience and cleanliness metrics.
• Maintains cleaning cart(s), supplies and equipment and restocks in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Removes waste to proper disposal areas, identifying proper waste streams (regulated medical, recycle, solid, hazardous).
• Follows infection prevention practices (hand hygiene, PPE, isolation precautions).
• Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA).
