Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a 2nd Shift Floor Tech/General Cleaner to support Florence 1 Schools. The role focuses on carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, waxing, and maintaining restrooms and common areas.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety procedures are essential. Candidates should be able to operate buffing machines and cleaning equipment, commute to the school, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree preferred, but not required.
• Previous cleaning experience is a plus.
• Must be able to commute 30 minutes to and from school.
• Ability to operate and maintain floor cleaning/finishing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, and clean restrooms daily.
• Operate floor buffers and carpet cleaning equipment safely.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors; perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Remove trash, wash windows, and clean entry areas as directed.
• Follow safety procedures and custodial supervisor instructions.
