Job summary

Pacific West Site Services, Inc. is seeking a Floor Technician to perform floor care tasks, including waxing, stripping, buffing, and general cleaning per standards. The role requires adherence to safety rules, teamwork, and professional communication with supervisors and clients.

The position involves operating cleaning equipment, maintaining floors (tile, carpet, brick) and ensuring timely completion of assignments. Shifts run Monday through Friday, 6pm to 2:30am, with pay of $23–$24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: No education requirement 6 mo-1 year experience preferred: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements. Complete all safety and task training certification May be required to be forklift certified
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behaviors in others and self
• Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet , and brick flooring
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
• Use and maintain equipment properly
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely
• Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs “wet floor”
• Ability to work without normal supervision
• Report safety hazards as appropriate
