Job summary

The role requires supervision experience, a relevant CDL within 90 days, and strong organizational skills to ensure on-time completion of tasks and accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to high school is required.
• Three years of experience in transportation services.
• North Carolina Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee evening shift maintenance operations to support fleet readiness.
• Direct staff, prioritize work, and administer corrective actions as needed.
• Act as primary contact for evening staff and manage time-off coordination.
• Determine vehicle service status and communicate availability to Transit dispatch.
• Close work orders timely and document maintenance activities.
• Use maintenance management systems to track work orders and inventory.
• Coordinate parts ordering and provide inventory oversight.
• Support responses to road calls and breakdowns.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the Maintenance Supervisor about shift activities.
• Serve in acting supervisory capacity when the Supervisor is unavailable.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
