Job summary

Arch Amenities Group seeks an Exercise Specialist to monitor the fitness floor, assist members, and educate on safe use of cardio and strength equipment. You’ll conduct orientations, assess clients, and provide exercise prescriptions aligned with ACSM standards, while promoting fitness programs and personal training options.

The role emphasizes supervision, safety, and high-quality member service with a focus on health and wellness education for diverse populations at Cameron Wellness Center.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Exercise Science or related field.
• Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification within 6 months of employment (ACSM, NASM, NSCA preferred).
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a fitness center environment preferred.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Orient new members to their exercise program, equipment use and safety.
• Assist members with proper use of equipment and answer fitness questions while monitoring workouts.
• Evaluate client’s fitness level, focusing on cardiovascular function and metabolism.
• Develop individualized exercise prescriptions for diverse populations based on assessments and goals.
• Perform daily department walkthroughs to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Identify, report, and document any operational defects or equipment issues.
• Perform daily facility and equipment maintenance and cleaning.
• Respond to member concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate records.
• Support members on the fitness floor and help them meet goals.
• Participate in Center and community events as needed.
