Job summary

Dal-Tile in Dickson, TN, is seeking a plant operator to support the Additional Finishes department on a 6PM-6AM shift. You will operate loader and unloader machines, follow safety protocols, and ensure product specifications are met.

Qualifications

• Experience following safety protocols in a manufacturing/plant setting
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems or similar
• Ability to train new hires on safety, quality policy and equipment
• Ability to coordinate with maintenance and operations teams

Responsibilities

• Ensures all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered to
• Helps to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for Additional Finishes department
• Follows the Quality Management System, ISO 9001 for finishing operations
• Performs necessary Lock/Tag/Test audits and delivers weekly safety training materials
• Ensures product specifications are followed throughout the Additional Finishes department
• Responsible for reviewing PM, lubrication and chemicals used
• Assist the supervisor in coordinating operations of Additional Finishes department
• Responsible for training of all new hires on safety, quality policy and systems
• Work with maintenance to develop operator care programs
• Fill-in and relief responsibility for all Additional Finishes functions
• Operates loader and unloader machines and basic maintenance tasks
• Assists in water treatment duties and application of chemical products
• Complete other tasks as needed
