Job summary

Bishop Gadsden, located on James Island near Charleston, is seeking a Server Assistant for the Fine Dining program in Winningham Court. This part-time evening role (4:30-9:30pm) supports residents and guests with meal service, table maintenance, and beverage service in a welcoming, upscale dining environment.

The position requires at least 16 years old, strong English communication, reliable attendance, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• At least sixteen years of age.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to comprehend numbers, perform data input.
• Maintain a courteous relationship with residents, families, visitors and employees.
• Adhere to attendance and scheduling requirements.
• Capability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and properly serve meals.
• Assist in all table maintenance during the meal.
• Clear, pre-bus and reset tables according to standards after each meal.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages as requested by server or resident.
• Participate in catering services as necessary.
• Perform duties in an effective, timely and professional manner.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct with a respectful and courteous demeanor.
