Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community on James Island seeks a Service‑minded Server Assistant for our fine dining room, Winningham Court. This part‑time role supports dinner service for residents and their guests with a focus on hospitality and teamwork.

The position emphasizes delivering meals, handling table maintenance, and contributing to a welcoming evening dining experience in a faith-based retirement setting.

Qualifications

• At least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate clearly in English.
• Ability to comprehend numbers, calculate and perform data input.
• Interpersonal skills are necessary for residents, families, visitors and employees.
• Adhere to attendance and scheduling requirements.
• Ability to lift and/or carry weights of up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and properly serve meals.
• Assist in table maintenance throughout the meal.
• Clear, pre-bus and reset all tables after each meal.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages as requested by server or resident.
• Participate in catering services as necessary.
• Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner.
• Maintain professional appearance and courteous conduct at all times.
