Job summary

The Missouri Botanical Garden is seeking a Facility Support Attendant for 2nd shift who will serve as the face of the Garden during their shift and assist with daily housekeeping and event setup. You will interact with visitors, staff, vendors and donors while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning duties, setup and break-down for events, waste sorting, and reporting accidents. A professional demeanor and ability to work varied hours are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Be willing to learn new procedures.
• Present a professional attitude at all times under the scrutiny of the general public.
• Meet productivity standards.
• Ability to read instructions and to understand the label on cleaning products.
• Ability to multitask in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 30-60 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions.
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform general daily housekeeping duties.
• Event Set-up duties require setting up tables, chairs.
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to visitors and employees at all times.
• Ensure that all recycled compost and landfill materials are placed in the correct containers.
• Reports all accidents, injuries, and near-miss accidents immediately to your supervisor.
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces, emptying trash, and other duties as assigned.
