Job summary

The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis is seeking a dedicated Security Supervisor to lead and protect our campus during the 11:00 pm to 7:00 am shift.

You will manage a small security team, ensure policy adherence, and maintain a welcoming safety-focused environment for visitors and staff. Responsibilities include supervising officers, coordinating incident response, and partnering with the Safety Manager to uphold OSHA standards while coordinating with events and security systems; on-site

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of security officer or guard experience in a public venue.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to identify security risks and respond calmly to incidents.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train and coach security officers to deliver exceptional service.
• Oversee daily security operations and coordinate event coverage.
• Maintain safety procedures, incident reports and emergency plans.
• Approve schedules, manage access control and camera systems.
• Be available for all scheduled shifts in varying conditions.
