Temple Shalom of Newton is seeking a part-time Building Representative to support programs and rentals in the evenings. The role involves welcoming groups, coordinating with staff and vendors, and monitoring the building for safety and readiness during events.

Responsibilities

• Program and Rental Support: Welcome groups and coordinate with staff lead, accommodator, security, caterers, and vendors.
• Building Access: Manage entry using the building’s security system, in coordination with the security guard.
• Room Readiness: Ensure rooms are set up, lights on, and temperatures comfortable; make minor adjustments as needed.
• Building Monitoring: Conduct walkthroughs every 30 minutes during events to monitor the facility.
• Closing Procedures: Close and secure the building, turn off lights/heating/coffee stations, lock doors.
• Minor Issue Resolution: Respond to minor maintenance issues and contact staff when needed.
• Additional Tasks: Complete small operational tasks as required.
