Job summary

The ASPCA on Manhattan's 92nd Street is seeking a Custodian to maintain clean, safe facilities for animals, staff and visitors. You will work the 3:30pm–11:30pm shift, Wednesday through Sunday, on-site at our New York location under the Senior Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, offices, medical areas, operating cleaning equipment, replenishing supplies, and assisting with minor repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping and cleaning operations is desirable.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team is essential.

Responsibilities

• Utilize work order system to update assigned work orders.
• Clean restrooms and locker rooms with sanitization of fixtures and surfaces.
• Clean offices and work stations, including dusting and waste removal.
• Perform disinfection and cleaning in medical areas as needed.
• Operate floor care equipment and PPE as required.
• Restock supplies in stock rooms and prepare work areas for meetings and events.
• Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as directed.
