The ASPCA on Manhattan's 92nd Street is seeking a Custodian to maintain clean, safe facilities for animals, staff and visitors. You will work the 3:30pm–11:30pm shift, Wednesday through Sunday, on-site at our New York location under the Senior Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, offices, medical areas, operating cleaning equipment, replenishing supplies, and assisting with minor repairs as needed.
Job Description
Under the general direction of the Senior Facilities Manager at our 92nd Street location in Manhattan, the Custodian is responsible for the general building maintenance and daily work to keep the ASPCA's facilities in a clean and orderly condition. They are responsible for the cleaning and maintenance functions on either a day, evening or overnight shift to ensure building cleanliness for animals, staff, volunteers and visitors.
The goal of the Facilities team is to ensure all ASPCA locations are fully operational so that staff and volunteers have optimum conditions to meet their program and department goals. In addition, the Facilities team ensures a healthy environment for all animals that visit our locations, whether on a short-term or long-term basis.
This Custodian reports directly to the Senior Manager, Facilities and has no direct reports.
This position is an on-site role and reports to the 92nd Street ASPCA location.
This is a Wednesday- Sunday shift from 3:30pm- 11:30pm.
The starting pay rate for this role is $22.00 and falls under a collective bargaining agreement.
