Job summary

The ASPCA is seeking a Custodian for the 92nd Street location in Manhattan. The role involves general building maintenance, cleaning, and ensuring a clean, orderly environment for animals, staff, volunteers, and visitors.

Shifts run Wednesday through Sunday from 3:30pm to 11:30pm, with on-site work and potential overtime. The starting pay is $22.00 per hour, under a collective bargaining agreement, with comprehensive benefits including health coverage, paid time off, a 401(k) with employer

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial/cleaning duties.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow cleaning protocols.
• Willingness to work a Wednesday–Sunday shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms and locker rooms, sanitize fixtures, replenish supplies.
• Clean offices and workstations, dust surfaces and remove trash.
• Perform general maintenance tasks and assist with minor repairs as needed, using basic hand tools.
