Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking an Assembly Hall Attendant to provide operational and event support at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. The role covers facility setup, breakdown, and day-of logistics for safe, efficient events, with a current opening Wednesdays–Saturdays 4:00 pm–2:00 am.

The position is a 100% full-time Civil Service 0500 role, offering wage of $23.47 per hour, and includes benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a multifaceted performing arts facility.

Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping and specialized cleaning, including restrooms and theaters.
• Unlock waiting rooms, classrooms and rehearsal spaces; secure spaces after events.
• Set up and tear down risers and platform devices for events.
• Coordinate event logistics and support for academic, catering and performance events.
• Assist with truck loading/unloading and maintenance tasks.
