Job summary

The Huntington in San Marino, CA is seeking an On-Call Event Setup Assistant to provide furniture and equipment setup and tear-down for meetings, lectures, and other events. This role reports to the Special Events Supervisor and requires serving diverse audiences with a welcoming, inclusive approach.

The position is on-call with no set weekly hours; evening shifts typical 1:30pm–9:30pm and flexible based on events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions and to interpret diagrams.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects; walk and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and tears down event furniture and equipment per supervisor directions.
• Operates and assists with A/V equipment as needed.
• Maintains clean, safe event spaces and reports equipment issues.
• Schedules and coordinates setups to maximize space turnover.
• Collaborates with the Special Events team to support diverse events.
