Job summary

Jackson Mann Community Center’s Adult Education program seeks a part-time ESOL for Parents Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year. Classes run November to June, with in-person sessions on Mondays at Winship School and online Wednesdays from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Compensation includes time for teaching, planning, and monthly staff meetings. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, two years ESOL instruction experience, tech-savvy with Zoom, and CORI/SORI background clearance.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. required.
• Two years’ ESOL instruction and curriculum development experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ESOL instruction methods and materials.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Must pass CORI/SORI background check.
• Experience integrating technology in the classroom.
• Experience teaching online (Zoom).

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver differentiated ESOL lessons for adults.
• Follow the program's scope and sequence and supplement textbooks.
• Integrate technology into instruction.
• Maintain student attendance records (Google Spreadsheet).
• Communicate classroom/student issues to the Program Coordinator promptly.
• Monitor student attendance and contact absent students.
• Attend team meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
