Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive direct patient care in the Emergency Department. The role emphasizes adherence to the nursing process from admission through discharge, with collaboration across disciplines to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The position requires MA nursing licensure, BLS, and a BSN is highly preferred. A sign-on bonus may be available; schedule includes evening shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/other unit certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Develops and coordinates plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within assigned setting.
• Documents patient care according to procedure; educates patient and family as needed.
• Administers medications, assists physicians with procedures, and supports governance and quality initiatives.
