Job summary

OU Health Yukon Emergency Department is seeking a PRN Evening Lab tech to support critical patient care in emergencies. You will collect specimens, perform basic lab procedures, and assist with IVs and monitoring under physician direction.

Ideal candidates hold Paramedic training, 2+ years hospital or pre-hospital experience, and current BLS, with PALS and ACLS within 3 months. This role offers flexible PRN shifts in a busy trauma center.

Qualifications

• Paramedic Training Program required.
• Paramedic Licenses: Oklahoma and National Registry required.
• BLS required; PALS and ACLS within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides care in accordance with OU Health policies and procedures.
• Assists licensed nurse and physician in patient care and charting.
• Gathers vital signs and prepares patients for physician assessment.
• Performs basic laboratory procedures and specimen collection as directed.
• Establishes IV/IO access and assists with medication administration.
• Maintains patient safety and effective communication with care team.
