Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Environmental Services teammate to perform floor care, cleaning, and sanitation in a hospital setting. The role requires operating various cleaning tools and adhering to safety procedures, with a focus on patient and staff satisfaction.

The position offers a 20-hour work week, 5pm–1:30am shifts, and rotating weekends/holidays, along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within the hospital system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in housekeeping or hospital cleaning preferred.
• Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strips, polishes and refinishes floors using appropriate equipment and supplies.
• Operate cleaning equipment, including ringers, vacuum and floor machines.
• Clean and sanitize after spills and maintain clean work areas.
• Accept additional tasks from group leader when time permits.
• Dispose of waste and maintain safe, orderly work areas.
• Support hospital departments with discharge room and OR cleaning as needed.
