Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Environmental Services teammate at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL. The role supports turnover of patient rooms, ancillary cleaning, and adherence to safety protocols.

You will join a dedicated team focused on hospital cleanliness and patient comfort. The position offers 24 hours per week with a schedule of Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Able to follow departmental policies and safety guidelines.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and read safety labels.

Responsibilities

• Turnover Pre-post rooms and perform end-of-day cleaning according to department procedures.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, floors, and equipment following hospital protocols.
• Assist with waste disposal, linen handling, and room preparation for the next day’s cases.
• Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients, families and staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report maintenance needs.
