Job summary

Martha's Vineyard Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, sanitary environment that supports high-quality patient care. The role includes cleaning patient rooms, restrooms, floors, and common areas, and contributing to infection prevention efforts.

You will also participate in storm/disaster readiness and post-event cleanup, with an evening shift on site. Work location is One Hospital Road, 40 hours weekly, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in environmental services or housekeeping preferred; 0-1 year required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas as directed by supervisor/manager.
• Clean floors, offices, clinical and non-clinical spaces, restrooms, and entrances.
• Sweep, scrub, refinish, polish and strip floors with equipment.
• Clean carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Make beds, handle soiled linen, and clean patient rooms and bathrooms.
• Assist in storm/disaster readiness and post-event cleanup.
