Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC in Mansfield is seeking a Scientist I to join our environmental testing laboratory. You will perform hands-on analysis to ensure the integrity and quality of environmental data affecting communities and ecosystems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related STEM field, with training provided. Work shift Tue-Sat, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM, and you’ll contribute to meaningful scientific work in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM related degrees (or equivalent).
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment and wear PPE supplied by Pace.
• Pace provides training and onboarding for this role.

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry methods to identify contaminants.
• Review and interpret results from the sample analysis.
• Document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality lab records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
