Job summary

Trinity Health's Samaritan Hospital is seeking an Environmental Aide for the evening part-time shift. You will help maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff, following hospital policies.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, perform routine cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing, and follow infection control procedures. High school diploma and English literacy required; salary range $16.20–$19.74 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Read, write and speak English at a minimum 6th grade level.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrates SPHP Standards of Behavior.

Responsibilities

• Thorough room cleaning: dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize daily or as assigned.
• Follow training policies to ensure all areas, fixtures, and surfaces are cleaned.
• Comply with infection control policies and procedures.
• Maintain good working relationships with other departments, residents, families and staff.
• Report problems to Housekeeping Supervisor or Director.
• Performs any other duties assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor or Director.
