Job summary

Cape Fear Community College is seeking an instructor to teach Evening Classes at the Surf City Campus, delivering engaging English instruction to diverse learners in seated and online formats.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in English or 18 graduate hours in English and can design lessons, assess student work, and maintain accurate attendance and grade records for both on-campus and online sections.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of teaching techniques and procedures, including techniques using the internet and technology.
• Ability to teach online, hybrid or face to face courses.
• Principles of test development and administration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute lessons, lectures, activities, and exercises for seated and/or online settings.
• Develop and prepare tests to evaluate student performance. Grade and record individual scores.
• Grade and return assignments and post grades in a prompt manner.
• Provide prompt and appropriate professional correspondence to students and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
