Job summary

Qualifications

• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions and respond to changes.
• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced ER.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to develop care plans.
• Perform routine procedures and document in electronic records.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ condition and assess needs for optimal care.
• Observe and interpret symptoms and communicate to physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for individualized care plans.
• Perform procedures (BP checks, injections) and document in EHR.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Maintain hygiene and safety across the unit and equipment.
• Provide urgent medical care in emergencies.
• Supervise LPNs and nursing assistants.
• Support families with education and compassionate care.
• Pursue ongoing education through workshops and conferences.
