Job summary

Colquitt Regional Medical Center is seeking exceptional Registered Nurses for the Emergency Room to provide safe, high-quality care and rapid response in emergencies. The role involves autonomous nursing care, patient education, and collaboration with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Ideal candidates are knowledgeable about GA Nurse Practice Act, Joint Commission standards, and hold an active Georgia RN license. ACLS and PALS certification within the first year are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Nursing.
• Knowledge of GA Nurse Practice Act and Joint Commission Standards of nursing procedures and patient care.
• Current Georgia license as a registered nurse.
• ACLS and PALS required within first year.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
• Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians and other providers.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to devise individualized care plans for patients.
• Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and document in the electronic record.
• Administer patient’s medications and provide treatments according to physician’s orders and scope of practice.
• Inspect facilities and maintain hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds).
• Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
• Assist surgeons during operations.
• Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants.
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and families.
• Expand knowledge by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.

Colquitt Regional Medical Center is currently looking for Exceptional Registered Nurses to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. You will be responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care with utmost compassion, evaluating response to treatment and advocating for patient’s needs, and educating them and their families on health and wellness. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care autonomously.
