Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an Emergency Clinical Pharmacist to join the Emergency Department team. This role provides comprehensive pharmacy services, including code response and pharmacokinetic consults, and requires MD licensure, PGY1 residency or 3 years CC/ED experience with BPS certification.

BLS/ACLS/PALS within 90 days are required. A strong multidisciplinary approach promotes patient safety, quality care, and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Maryland license required for practice
• PGY1 residency required; 3 years CC/ED experience with BPS certification acceptable as alternative
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS (within 90 days) required

Responsibilities

• Provide ED clinical pharmacy services for adult and pediatric patients, including code response and pharmacokinetic consultations
• Review physician orders and optimize drug therapy, maintaining patient medication profiles
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians in distributive and department operations under Pharmacy leadership
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to improve patient care, satisfaction and cost efficiency
