Job summary

MaineHealth's Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME seeks an Emergency Department Technician I for a part-time, evening-shift role. You will assist the healthcare team with stocking, results retrieval, and patient tracking, under the guidance of the registered nurse, performing patient care such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, ECG, phlebotomy and other simple procedures.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, EMT-Advanced or EMT-Basic, Medical Assistant, or CNA certification,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Certifications in EMT-Advanced or EMT-Basic, Medical Assistant, or CNA required.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stocking, results retrieval, and patient tracking in the ED.
• Under RN guidance, perform vital signs, pulse oximetry, ECG, phlebotomy and other simple procedures.
