Mount Carmel, a member of Trinity Health, seeks an Emergency Department Technician to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced ED. Shifts are 12 hours, evenings, with weekends and holidays on rotation, at Mount Carmel East in Columbus.

Responsibilities include patient transport, phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and data collection with timely reporting to RNs and physicians. Requires high school diploma and BLS; prior patient care experience or health-related education preferred.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of approved courses including basic patient care skills, EKG, phlebotomy, and BLS.

Responsabilidades

• Responds to patient needs in a timely manner.
• Transportation and patient escort.
• Performs visual acuity and eye irrigation and equipment setups.
• Performs phlebotomy and collects lab specimens as ordered.
• Supports trauma, stroke, heart and sepsis alerts, and resuscitation as part of the team.
