Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is hiring a Full Time Emergency Department Registered Nurse for the 3:00pm–3:00am shift. The ED handles a wide range of acute cases in a Level III trauma center with a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include BSN/MSN preferred, ACLS/PALS within 1 year, BLS within 90 days, and 2 years ED nursing experience preferred. Sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• RN with BSN/MSN preferred and appropriate licensure.
• 2+ years in Emergency Department nursing preferred.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and families.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health promotion.
