Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Patient Support Associate for the Cobble Hill ED Evening Shift (35 hours per week). The role supports the patient care team by maintaining the unit environment, setting up equipment, and handling supply functions to sustain patient flow.

Responsibilities include patient transport, inventory management, and adherence to infection prevention standards. Requires a high school diploma and strong English communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High school education or its equivalent.
• Working knowledge of English evident in verbal, reading and writing abilities.
• Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the unit's physical environment and sets up equipment for selected patient care activities.
• Performs a wide range of customer relations tasks and assists with supply functions to support patient care.
• Transports patients and assists with inventory, waste removal and infection prevention standards.
• Retrieves supplies from pneumatic tube, central distribution, and replenishes locations as needed.
• Notifies SCM / Logistics Manager of non-par stocked specialty order needs.
• Facilitates exchange of emergency code carts and intubation boxes with Pharmacy and Central Sterile Processing.
