NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk in Suffolk, NY is seeking a Patient Access Associate for the evening shift (2:00pm–10:00pm, Wed–Sun). The role registers patients, collects demographics, insurance information, and consent details while supporting ED, Admitting and related workflows.

The successful candidate will enter data into the EHR, educate patients on Advance Directives and Charity Care, and work with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient processing and accurate billing.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Interview patients to obtain correct identification information.
• Obtain demographic, guarantor, next of kin, and emergency contact information.
• Obtain current insurance coverage and identification; verify COB.
• Enter payments and balance daily receipts in EHR system.
• Provide education on Advance Directives and Charity Care when applicable.
• Coordinate with ED, Pre-Surgical Testing, Admitting and other areas as liaison.
