Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Registration Specialist ED - PRN Evening to support pre-registration, registration and payer verification at Baptist Medical Center South. You will coordinate with financial counseling and perform point-of-service collections.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in medical access or financial services, and may benefit from bilingual English/Spanish skills. This PRN evening shift emphasizes accuracy and customer care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in healthcare or business-related field preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a medical or hospital patient access or financial services environment preferred.
• Knowledge of government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid helpful.

Responsibilities

• Handle pre-registration and registration processes.
• Identify and verify payer information and benefits.
• Refer to financial counseling and collect at the point of service.
• Ensure accurate data entry of patient demographics and benefits.
• Understand HIPAA, EMTALA and Medicare regulatory requirements.
