Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Emergency Department on a part-time basis. Evening shifts with rotation and every other weekend/holiday rotation, totaling ~20 hours per week, 11a-11p, 11a-7p, or 3p-11p.

Union AFSCME position with minimum starting pay of $22.12/hr plus LPN experience; evening shift differential $1.60. A generous sign-on bonus of $6,250 is available for eligible candidates who commit to a two-year work agreement.

Qualifications

• LPN license is required or eligible.
• Minimum 1 year LPN experience preferred.
• Evening shift availability required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Administer oral and IV medications as assigned.
• Prepare patients for meals, feeding, and hydration.
• Document medication administration accurately.
• Observe and report patient condition changes and care provided.
• Maintain clean and organized patient rooms and equipment.
