Job summary

UPMC is seeking an RN Staff Nurse for the Emergency Department. Shift pattern includes 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (36 hours/week) with weekend shifts every 6 weeks and holiday rotation.

Union position (SEIU) and a competitive starting pay with sign-on bonus are offered. Future graduate nurses and experienced RNs are encouraged to apply, with possible higher starting rates for BSN holders and loan repayment options available.

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible for licensure in PA.
• Future Graduate Nurses may apply up to one year before graduation.
• Union position: SEIU.

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Care using nursing protocols; administer medications and IV therapy.
• Assess and Reassess patient and family needs; document and update care plans.
• Plan Care with patients and families; coordinate with other professionals.
