Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a part-time Donor Center-Phlebotomist for York Hospital Blood Donor Center. This evening schedule includes Mon/Wed 2:30p-7:30p with rotating Saturday mornings and no holidays. The role centers on safe donor blood collection and delivering excellent donor service.

The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to healthcare safety. Requires high school diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience; certification preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of relevant experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures for whole-blood donations.
• May perform automated apheresis collections.
• Label and distribute blood products as needed.
• Greet donors and explain procedures to ensure a safe, pleasant donation experience.
• Conduct donor health screening as part of pre-donation checks.
• Document donor information and test results accurately.
• Follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines to ensure donor safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient donation process.
• Participate in donor recruitment activities as needed.
