Alternatives, Inc. in Somerset, NJ is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to support adults with disabilities. You will help with daily living activities, medication administration, and transportation in a group home setting.

The role offers an evening shift (3pm-11pm on some days) with competitive wage and benefits, including paid training, mileage reimbursement, and eligibility for PSLF programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen.
• Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening.
• Ability to pass and maintain trainings such as CPR/First Aid and positive behavioral support.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including medication, meals, hygiene and transportation.
• Implement individual behavioral plans and use teaching techniques to build skills.
• Encourage participation in community outings and recreational activities.
• Report health and safety concerns and keep documentation up to date.
