Job summary

Center for Human Development (CHD) in Hartford, CT is hiring Residential Cleaning and Direct Care Staff for the CTLP program. The role focuses on cleaning clients’ apartments while supporting independence and well-being, with duties spanning apartment upkeep and community spaces.

The position offers a part-time schedule at 20 hours per week, with shifts 5:00pm–9:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Compensation is $21.00 per hour and a robust benefits package, including dental, health and life

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable, registered & insured vehicle available for work purposes; approved driving record check.
• All candidates must complete and pass background record screening.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain clients’ apartments (kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms).
• Model cleaning routines and encourage clients to be self-sufficient.
• Provide guidance and support to help clients stay organized and independent.
• Clean common areas, stairwells, hallways, and other shared spaces.
• Provide direct care support such as activities of daily living and informal counseling with a person-centered focus.
