The Glenholme School, part of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, in Washington, CT is seeking a Direct Care Professional who will join a cohesive, passionate team. You will care for adolescents in a boarding setting, promoting independence through daily living activities and delivering trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities include behavior management, documentation, and collaboration with clinical staff to support students’ growth and safety.

Formación

• High School Diploma.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess and maintains a valid drivers’ license.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for a group of up to 12 adolescents (ages 8-21) within the boarding environment.
• Maintain accountability of all students in your group at all times (bed checks after 9pm).
• Promote independence by teaching activities of daily living (showering, brushing teeth, chores, room cleanliness).
• Facilitate activities and implement instruction aligned with each child’s development.
• Manage behavioral incidents using PBIS and token economy principles.
• Communicate pertinent information to supervisors, clinicians, behaviorists, nurses, etc.
• Document shift happenings at shift end.
• Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
• Promote campus core values: fairness, honesty, respect, responsibility, kindness.
• Establish a safe, clean, nurturing living environment.
